A big fuzzy thank you (you like fuzzy thank yous, right?) to all who read and comment. I love reading your thoughts each week. So, let's get to it, shall we? This week's six comes from the same scene as last week's.
Henry is having dinner with his sister Rita, and her husband Charlie. Rita is being rather blatant about mentioning Ellen every so often. We join the three as Rita has said she can't go to see the progress on Henry's new clinic the next day because she has something planned already. Charlie asks what plans she made.
Out of consideration [Rita] tactfully declined to mention that she told him everything at least twice and he just forgot anything that wasn’t crucial to his game plan. “A card game at Ellie Pritchard’s.”
Henry checked his watch. Ten minutes exactly since the last mention. The government could use someone like his sister. They’d never miss another budget deadline.
Well that's all I have for this week. Be sure to visit the dozens of talented authors who participate in this lovely gathering we call Six Sentence Sunday.
